Public Drop-off Box Recycling
Drop-off recycling programs are often collaborative partnerships between solid waste districts, municipalities and Rumpke.
Rumpke’s program, called single stream recycling, allows all recyclables to be mixed together, and it is sorted at one of Rumpke’s advanced recycling facilities. Residents gather recyclables at home, and drop them off at designated recycling sites in the community containers.
Communities will often partner with area businesses, police and fire departments, schools, libraries and parks as locations for drop-off boxes.
Drop-box programs are easy to manage and grow, and have helped many municipalities reach diversion goals while promoting recycling in their community. We are happy to supply information about successful drop-off programs throughout the region.
