Rumpke Driver Honored for Heroic Actions

CINCINNATI (Oct. 24, 2012) – Rumpke Residential Driver David Kinley was honored today by the Springfield Township Fire Department for his assistance with a house fire.

While servicing customers on Oct. 15, Kinley, spotted smoke coming from a house shortly after 11 a.m. He quickly called 911, and within minutes, emergency personnel were on the scene to extinguish the blaze.

According to Rob Leininger, Springfield Township Fire Department Fire Chief, Kinley’s quick actions minimized damage at the home and saved the life of the family’s pet dog.

“You are the one that gets the credit,” said Leininger, during a small award presentation at Rumpke.

The Township awarded Kinley with a plaque commending him for his service to the community.
