Baltimore Chooses Rumpke for Trash and Recycling Services

Rumpke Collection Begins Jan. 5, 2013

BALTIMORE, Ohio – Jan. 1, 2013 – The Village of Baltimore has selected Rumpke as the official trash removal and recycling service provider for residents beginning in January 2013.

Residents will receive a brochure from Rumpke to explain the change. The collection day will be Friday, which is a change from the village’s previous pickup day. All trash and recycling should be placed out for collection by 7 a.m. on the day of pickup.

Due to the New Year’s holiday, the first day of pickup will take place on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. Rumpke will begin Friday pickup on Jan. 11.

All trash should be contained in bags or cans, each weighing less than 50 lbs. Bulk items such as appliances and furniture will be collected on the regular trash day. Residents are asked to call Rumpke 24-hours in advance to schedule a bulk pick-up.

Rumpke also offers subscription curbside recycling, which is available as a weekly or every-other-week service. Residents should contact Rumpke for more details, including rates and container sizes.
