Scholarship Opportunity for Graduating Seniors in Jefferson County

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Oct. 29, 2014—One graduating senior from Jefferson County, Kentucky, will be the recipient of the Rumpke Recycling Scholarship in the spring.

In addition to demonstrating environmental stewardship and academic strength, applicants must be graduating from a JCPS school this spring and planning to earn a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution.

Rumpke has offered the award annually since 2009. Past recipients from Eastern, Butler and duPont Manual high schools have organized school recycling programs, participated in community clean-ups or gone on to study environmental science.

“We are proud to recognize a student who is making a difference and inspiring others,” said Greg Beamer, Regional Vice President.
