Rumpke Awards 2015 Darke County Scholarship

GREENVILLE, Ohio—June 8, 2015—Versailles High School senior Abigail Didier is the 2015 Rumpke Darke County Scholarship winner.

Since 2010, Rumpke awards the Darke County Scholarship to recognize local high school seniors committed to the environment. The winning student receives a $1,000 scholarship to use toward their two or four year degree from an accredited institution.

Didier plans to attend Ohio University in the fall and study wildlife biology and conservation. Didier is a National Honor Society member and runs track and cross country.

“My dream is to work at Yellow Stone,” Didier said. “I want to use the knowledge I learn in college to better the environment not just at Yellow Stone, but everywhere I go. I want to teach others the importance of conservation.”

“I have participated in my county Trash Bash several times,” Didier said. We pick up trash and recyclables along our stretch of road to do our part in keeping Ohio beautiful.”
