SALYSERVILLE, KY. (Sept. 18, 2012) – Rumpke of Kentucky is once again the official trash hauler of Magoffin County, Ky. Rumpke will begin weekly curbside trash collection Oct. 1, 2012.
“We’re very excited to be back in Magoffin County and provide the community with dependable, weekly service,” said Gary Lederer, operations manager, Rumpke.
As part of the county’s new contract with Rumpke, residents will pay a rate of $17.47 a month for weekly trash collection. Rate includes the collection of up to 10 bags of trash each week.
Residents 65 years of age or older will pay a discounted rate of $10 per month for weekly trash collection. Residents must provide proof of age to receive discount.
To help keep Magoffin County tidy, residents can lease a 96-gallon Rumpke trash cart for just $3 per month, per cart. Residents may continue using their own trash containers. Rumpke’s trash carts hold the equivalent of three standard trash cans, eliminating multiple trips to the curb, and feature:
• Large wheels for easy handling, mobility and durability.
• A sturdy lid to help prevent trash from blowing or spilling.

As a reminder, trash must be placed curbside the night before your scheduled collection. Drivers may not return to residences if materials are unprepared at the scheduled collection time. Residents are billed monthly. Invoices may be prorated for a specific service period. Payments are due upon receipt. Late payments or returned checks may result in additional charges to your account.
