CDL Driver Training Program
Rumpke started a professional driver training program to help grow its team. Since the program’s inception, hundreds of individuals have secured their Class B CDL and started driving for Rumpke.
Unlike many CDL training programs which cost thousands of dollars, Rumpke’s driver trainee program is a full-time paid position. Individuals receive classroom and in-field training. Rumpke covers all training costs, and participants earn raises for each milestone achieved.
One recent trainee wrote, “I’ve been trying to get my CDL for 21 years, and I finally did it with the help of Rumpke.”
Enrollment Requirements
You must meet the following eligibility qualifications:
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
• Read, write and speak English
• Be drug-free and agree to drug testing
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Pass a required entrance examination
Maintenance Advancement Program
In addition to training drivers, Rumpke is also training individuals to begin careers as mechanics. Through Rumpke’s maintenance advancement program, individuals can begin working at Rumpke with minimal experience in the field, and receive hands-on, on the job training.
