Rumpke Collection Begins January 2013
RICHFIELD, Ohio – Dec. 17, 2012 – Rumpke will become the official trash removal and recycling service provider for the Village of Richfield and Richfield Township residents beginning Jan. 1, 2013.
Residents will receive a brochure from Rumpke in the coming days to explain the change. Collection days for weekly pickup will change for some residents. Rumpke will provide service Monday to Friday in various parts of the community. The mailed brochure will specify the day of service for each resident. All trash and recycling should be placed out for collection by 7 a.m. on the day of pickup.
Due to the New Year’s holiday, the first week of service will be delayed one day for residents, with Friday collection occurring on Saturday, Jan. 5.
All trash should be contained in bags or cans, each weighing less than 50 lbs. Bulk items such as appliances and furniture will be collected on the regular trash day. Residents are asked to call Rumpke 24-hours in advance to schedule a bulk pick-up.
For recycling, Rumpke will deliver 18-gallon red bins to each residence. Recycling will be collected on the same day as trash.
