“Rumpke is honored to have been selected, and we look forward to becoming part of the Lorain County community,” said Andrew Rumpke, vice president. “We have been working closely with elected officials, leaders and residents to ensure a seamless transition.”

The consortium of communities includes about 8,800 households. Rumpke mailed an informational brochure to residents with service details. The mailer includes a form for residents to fill-out and return to Rumpke to verify their address.

From Dec. 1 to 25, Rumpke will deliver two wheeled carts to each residence: a 95-gallon brown cart for trash and a 65-gallon green cart for recycling. Residents will have the option to choose a smaller trash cart, if interested.

“Delivering nearly 18,000 total carts will be a major undertaking, and we ask residents to allow a few extra weeks if they select a smaller trash cart,” said Kevin Sabo, Rumpke operations manager. “If you haven’t received carts by Dec. 25, please give us a call.”
