Thousands of Recycling Bins Distributed in Preble County

EATON, Ohio –Aug. 20, 2014—Rumpke has distributed 2,000 recycling bins to residents in Preble County.

Residential recyclers in the unincorporated areas of the County will receive a schedule from Rumpke in the mail. Curbside recycling collection will be every-other-week starting Aug. 25. Households that need an extra bin for two weeks’ worth of recyclables can call 800-223-3960 to receive one at no charge.

"We appreciate the recycling efforts of Preble County residents,” said Kyle Aughe, regional sales manager at Rumpke. “The average American creates more than four pounds of trash every day. We hope residents will take advantage of the opportunity to conserve natural resources and space at the Preble County Landfill.

These items can be recycled:

  • Plastic bottles and jugs
  • Aluminum and metal cans
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Cartons (e.g. milk and juice cartons)

Recyclables are taken to the Rumpke Recycling facility on E. Monument Avenue in Dayton for processing.
