MANSFIELD, Ohio—Sept. 17, 2014—Rumpke Waste & Recycling will host its annual neighborhood picnic at the Noble Road Landfill on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rumpke invites neighbors, customers, local officials and the general public to a free open house event to learn about the landfill and recycling. There will be landfill tours by van, education tables, kids’ activities and refreshments. The landfill is located in Butler Township, about 15 miles north of Mansfield,
“As a family business, we want to have a friendly relationship with our neighbors,” said Alvie Green, Rumpke’s Noble Road Landfill manager. “The open house gives residents a chance to see the landfill first-hand and to learn how Rumpke protects the environment.”
