New Recycling Program Set for North Royalton

North Royalton, Ohio—Jan. 20—The City of North Royalton voted to select Rumpke Waste & Recycling for its new residential trash and recycling service contract, effective May 1, 2017.

The agreement includes a new recycling program. Each residence will receive a mid-sized, wheeled cart for recycling. Residents will no longer have to use blue bags or smaller blue bin.

“We’re very excited to continue servicing the city of North Royalton and to provide recycling carts for city residents,” said Rumpke Municipal Representative Sarah Mathews. “Rumpke and North Royalton officials will work together to ensure a smooth transition.”

Delivery of recycling carts will occur prior to the May 1 start date. The benefits of carts include:

  • Wheels for easy mobility
  • Large capacity for more recyclables
  • Lid to prevent wind-blown litter

Rumpke will continue providing the same trash service. Residents may use bags or personal cans for trash, or they may rent a wheeled trash cart from Rumpke.
