Medora Landfill Welcomes Neighbors for Food and Fun

On Aug. 10, neighbors of the Rumpke Medora Landfill came out for the annual Neighbor Fest event. Each year, neighbors are invited to the landfill for an evening of food and family fun, including tours of the landfill given by Landfill Manager Ralph Collins.

Rumpke catered a fish fry from the Carr Township Conservation Club and an assortment of sides and desserts from Flying Pink Pig BBQ. Guests were invited to bring a side dish or dessert to share, and a panel of judges recognized the best ones. Elaine Belk and her zucchini quiche won the Golden Fork Award for best side. Peg Thompson received the Golden Spoon Award for her pina colada cake.
