Ohio EPA and Brown County laws prohibit the Brown County Landfill from accepting hazardous waste, including:

  • Lead acid batteries

  • Whole tires

  • Pesticides

  • Herbicides

  • Medical/infectious/biohazard waste

  • Appliances containing refrigerant

  • Fertilizers

  • Radioactive waste

  • Fluorescent lamps and ballasts

Can I drop off construction waste at the Georgetown, Ohio landfill?

Yes, we accept construction waste from both individuals and construction crews at the Rumpke landfill. Rumpke can also provide other disposal solutions, including dumpster rentals, to accommodate your renovation or specific trash disposal needs.

Directions to Rumpke’s Brown County, OH, Landfill

From Georgetown

Drive north out of the town on Mt. Orab Pike until you reach Beyers Rd. Turn left to navigate to the landfill at 9427 Beyers Rd.



From Mount Orab

Drive south on US Route 68 towards Georgetown. You’ll pass Grandma’s and Grandpa’s at the Route 81 intersection, and in less than a mile, you’ll turn right at Mt. Orab Road. Take an immediate right onto Beyers Rd. to drive back to the landfill.

Will someone be available to help me unload my trash?

The landfill is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Monday through Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. If you stop by the landfill during business hours, our crew will be available to help you.

There are no vehicle restrictions at the landfill.



Are there free dump days at the Brown County landfill?

No! We currently don't offer free dump days at the Brown County landfill.
