Rumpke Begins Service in Miamisburg Feb. 1

MIAMISBURG, Ohio – Jan. 22, 2013—This Friday Rumpke will begin delivering recycling carts to all Miamisburg residences in preparation for new trash and recycling service, which starts Feb. 1.

In the past, the service has been performed by the City’s Public Works Department. While there are no significant changes in service, the contract is expected to save the City $3 million over five years.

Residents need to know:

  • Rumpke service begins Friday, Feb. 1. Collection days have not changed.
  • Every residence is receiving a large, green recycling cart to replace the blue bins.
  • Service is still $12 per month, and is billed by the City.
  • Residents can continue using their own trash containers, but Rumpke also has large, wheeled carts available for rent at a nominal cost by calling (800) 223-3960.
  • Rumpke will collect one large item per week at no additional cost. Residents are asked to call Rumpke in advance at (800) 223-3960.

For more information, Miamisburg residents should call the Public Works Department at 847-6635.
